In its first annual national educational tour, Midwest Fashion Week llc. brings UK designer Julian Roberts to Indianapolis, Indiana to demonstrate and teach his innovative 21st Century methods of shaping a flat piece of fabric to human dimensions with beauty and expressiveness. He has pioneered spontaneity in clothing design in a way never before conceived and has made it possible to think of covering the body by subtracting from the cloth the space that the body occupies. His lectures, demonstrations and workshops embody the global zeitgeist that now demands that we look at every activity in a new way if we are to meet future challenges. He is the pattern designer of our time.
